State park is a beach with an emphasis on nature.
This park has an observation tower that sits on one
of the highest sand dunes in Florida, 40 feet above
sea level, offering sweeping views of the
surrounding ocean and the tidal marshes of the
Tolomato and Guana Rivers. It is the only
public beach between St. Augustine and Jacksonville.
It is a favorite of St. Augustine and Ponte
Vedra locals. This beach park has 9 miles of
nature trails. If you have a mountain bike or
beach cruiser, these nature trails are a lot of fun to
Anastasia State Park is located a short distance from
all the colonial history of Florida's oldest
city St. Augustine. One privilege is that beach driving
is allowed in this beach. For surfers, close
to the inlet is one of the best breaks in north
Florida, a spot called the "Blowhole." The park
offers sailboards for rent along with lessons.
There are also nature trails that are great for
hiking. This is a favorite state park of St.
